Who will transport my vehicle?

Jim Lepke Sr. personally transports the vehicles he accepts on his own 10-car carrier under USDOT 2987183 and MC 17232. From the first conversation through delivery, customers communicate directly with Jim.

What areas does Jim serve?

Jim's corridor runs from Minnesota through Wisconsin, past the Chicago area, and south into the Florida peninsula, then back north again. The Florida Panhandle and Key West are outside the corridor.

How do I request a quote?

Use the quote form on this site or call Jim directly. Share the vehicle, both locations and your timing, and he will review the trip against his active route and open carrier space before responding.

How far ahead should I contact Jim?

Earlier is better. Capacity is limited to Jim's own equipment, so a few weeks of notice helps a great deal — especially during the fall southbound and spring northbound snowbird seasons.

Is my vehicle insured?

James Lepke Auto Transport LLC carries the insurance required of an authorized interstate motor carrier of vehicles, and Jim can confirm the current coverage details with you before pickup. Damage is documented on the bill of lading at both loading and delivery.

Can the truck reach my address?

A 10-car carrier needs room to turn, park and load safely, so narrow streets, low trees, tight gates and posted truck limits sometimes make a nearby lot a better choice. Jim will look at your address with you and pick a safe meeting point.

Does Jim transport vehicles back north from Florida?

Yes. The northbound run is part of the same lane, and Jim books returning vehicles from the Florida peninsula to Wisconsin and Minnesota through the same corridor.

What should I do before pickup?

Wash the vehicle so existing marks are visible, leave about a quarter tank of fuel, remove toll transponders and loose items, note any leaks or starting quirks, and have a key ready for Jim.

Can someone else meet Jim?

Yes. A friend, family member or neighbor can hand over or receive the vehicle as long as Jim knows who to expect, that person has a phone, and they can walk the inspection with him and sign the bill of lading.

How can I verify Jim's carrier authority?

Look up USDOT 2987183 or MC 17232 in the FMCSA public registry. James Lepke Auto Transport LLC appears there as an authorized interstate carrier of motor vehicles.
